Specifically, I am a fan of the 1931 sparkling wine from Greco di Tufo. In the mouth it is broad and persistent which is enhanced with a savory and fresh sip. The 1931 brut nature sparkling wine is perfect to drink as an aperitif, but is also excellent with seafood dishes, appetizers and fish first courses. I also recommend the other wines because they are all superlative.

I went there with some friends for a wine tasting. I am not a sommelier nor a connoisseur. I was with some wine-loving friends who follow the posts of the sommelier Simona Abate who had organized the visit. It was a pleasant experience. I also discovered a chapter in the history of our region that I didn't know and which has its roots back to the beginning of the first millennium. The visit to the place and the cellars was pleasant and interesting. The historical narration, the technical information and the friendliness of Ferrante Di Somma, current owner of the Cellars, made us spend the time dedicated to the visit in a pleasant way, which ended in the tasting room. Which was then followed by lunch. The tasting of the wines: Fiano, Greco di Tufo, Greco di tufo Colle Serrone, Greco di tufo Villa Ortale and Vigna Laure, Spumante Anni Venti, was accompanied by an excellent platter of sausages (Salami, capicollo and soppressata) together with the Primo Cheese salt. The simple, peasant, delicious lunch was accompanied with Franciscus and Aglianico. The dessert, an excellent Castagnaccio, which made me relive a dessert from my childhood, was accompanied by a very good Grappa from Greco di Tufo. An excellent experience that I also recommend to those who want to spend a nice Sunday.
